Thurman vs Pacquiao on Pay-Per View July 20th

Coming up this weekend will be another exciting championship fight card at the MGM Grand, promoted by Premier Boxing Champions on FOX Sports Pay-Per-View. Boxing’s only eight-division world champion 61-7-2 (39 KOs) Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao takes on WBA Welterweight World Champion 29-0 (22 KOs) and Clearwater Florida’s own Keith “One Time” Thurman for the Welter Weight Championship of the world. 

2019 Summer League Wrap Up

The Las Vegas NBA Summer League tournament is an easy way for NBA fans to see their fresh crop of rookies enter the league. It also is a great way for fans to interact with young and old NBA legends, as many young and experienced representative members of the various teams have been in attendance in Las Vegas over the past couple weeks.

2019 ESPN ESPY Awards

Last week in downtown Los Angeles, ESPN has once again wrangled up many of the greatest athletes and entertainers from around the world for their ceremonial event. As this award show continues to grow, year after year, sports fan from all backgrounds have a chance to see the who’s who of sports and entertainment show up to this event and engage with athletes and stars who’ve they admired from afar.

LXF2 Fight Night in Burbank

After America saw fireworks Thursday night, MMA fans got a chance to see fireworks in the cage on Saturday night in Burbank. This action-packed fight night was centered around a couple of Title fights and a pro debut from a former NFL player. Along with a swan song from another local legend in the fighting world.

NBA Free Agency

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how fantastic the NBA remains. In recent years they have done a wonderful job in keeping their sport top of mind among sports fans. When other professional sporting leagues crown their champion for the season, the leagues typically fade into the background of the sports scene. However, in recent years once the season ends, the anticipation and conjecture of the NBA off-season have become just as intriguing as the regular season itself.

Los Angeles Sparks Rout Chicago Sky

The Los Angeles Sparks welcomed the Chicago Sky to the Staples on Sunday afternoon. Having won only one of their five previous games, the Sparks were looking to turn their last win into a winning streak. They would have to remain committed to their multiple efforts that it would take against a team like this,” as per Head Coach Derek Fisher.

Jermell Charlo Ready for Harrison Rematch

This past Sunday night the PBC on FOX team put together another exciting fight card for boxing fans to enjoy. Though this was supposed to be a fight card headlined by a Tony Harrison vs Jermell Charlo rematch of their championship fight in December of 2018. An apparent ankle injury has sidelined Harrison; therefore, Charlo was set up to fight Jorge Cota as a replacement.

Clippers Williams Wins Sixth Man Award

It was another award for L.A. Clippers’ guard Lou Williams. He was recently named winner of the 2018-19 Kia Sixth Man of the Year Award. It was the second consecutive year and the third time he has won the award. Williams and former Clipper guard Jamal Crawford are the only NBA players to have won the award three times in a career.

Chase Center - The New Home of the Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors played their final game at Oracle Arena having lost in the NBA Finals to the Toronto Raptors last week. Even though the season for the  Warriors ended on a sober note with their unexpected injuries, they will have a brand new home to rehab and reconstruct their team into championship form. As the new Chase Center will be wrapping up construction a month or so prior to the Golden State Warriors 2019/ 2020 season.

The NBA Off-Season

t’s pretty much common knowledge that the NBA is Fantastic! It just may be possible that the NBA Off-Season is just as fun and interesting as the regular season for basketball fans. Less than 2 weeks after crowning a New Champion the NBA will introduce a new crop of talent to their fans across the nation in their upcoming NBA Draft.

Beginning of Chargers Mini Camp

On Tuesday of this week I was fortunate enough to attend the first day of Los Angeles Chargers’ Mini Camp. Considering the recent debates swirling around the injury to Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors during the NBA Finals, I was eager to find out how NFL players and coaches address the inevitable injuries.

NBA Finals Game 4 Summary

Kicking off the Game 4 telecast this past Friday, was GRAMMY® Award-winner NE-YO who sang the U.S National Anthem. Multi-platinum band Walk Off the Earth will perform the Canadian national anthem prior to Game 4 at the final game at Oracle Arena. This could very well be the final game in Oracle Arena.

NBA Finals Game 3 Summary

Going into Game 3 of the National Basketball League Finals we saw the Toronto Raptors go to Oracle Arena tied 1-1 against the defending Champions Golden State Warriors. Oddly enough the Warriors thought they would be without, not 1, but 2 of their All-Stars in, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, in addition to 4th year Forward Kevon Looney. Due to the injuries, the Warriors have faced recently, they have sent out 10 different starting lineups in this postseason.
