USC had high hopes heading to Seattle to take on The Washington Huskies. The results were not what the visitors wanted coming up on the short end of a 28-14 score.

Starter QB J.T. Daniels was out for the year in game one, Freshman Kedon Slovis has a head injury. USC put their offensive hopes in the hands of Matt Fink. 

The Trojans trailed the Huskies (4-1) by two scores at the end of the first period 14-0.

In the 2nd they got on the board with a three yard run by Fink that cut the lead to 14-7. On the day Fink completed 19 of 32 passes for 163 yards and 3 interceptions. Michael 4 Pittman Jr. had 4 catches for 64 yards including a 44 yard scoring pass from Fink. Amon-R St Brown had 5 receptions for 32 yards as the Trojans (3-2, 2-1) rolled up 375 yards in offense. The picks were the problem and lead to two Husky touchdowns.

The Trojans has a solid day on the ground rushing for 212 yards with a combination of Markese Stepp, Steven Carr, and Vavae Malapeai (49 yards) sharing time. Carr lead the way with 94 yards including a 60 yard run. 

The USC  defense held Huskies QB Jacob Eason to 180 yards passing  and no touchdowns.

John Houston and Polaie Gateote had 10 tackles each to lead the defense.

The Trojans have a bye before traveling to Notre Dame October 12.
