USC was in the hole coming into this past Friday having lost Starting QB JT Daniels early in the year. Then early in a game last week against Utah down went freshman Kedon Slovis. Up stepped Junior Matt Fink. The Trojans still managed a 30-23 win over the Utes.

Fink stepped in the first drive connecting with Tyler Vaughns on a 29 yard touchdown pass to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead. As the night went on Fink got comfortable, connecting on 21 of 30 passes for 351 yards and 3 touchdowns in front of a crowd of  55,719 at the Coliseum.

Michael Pittman had 10 catches for 232 yards and a score of 77 yards. Amon-R St Brown had 5 catches for 68 yards and a score.  

Vavae Malapeal rushed for 40 yards on 11carries to help the Trojans (3-1) roll up 368 yards of offense.

On the defensive side Palaie  Gaoteote and Talanoa Hufunga had 14 tackles a piece to lead the Trojans. John Houston chipped in with 9.

Next Up: USC travels to Washington for a PAC12 showdown.
