Earlier this month at Staples Center boxing fans across the globe were treated to a remarkable contest between to Wilder and Fury. The Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury fight has many people still talking about the outcome who should’ve won the fight and who their next opponents should. Well interestingly enough, in a well-done interview with FOX Sports Host Kristine Leahy, Legendary Freddy Roach has a few things to say about the way the Fury’s corner communicated with him during the fight.

After training in Big Bear, Fury moved his training camp to the Wild Card gym with Legendary Boxing Trainer Freddy Roach. The purpose of adding Roach to the corner team was to bring in more experience and another set of eyes to assist Fury in this Heavyweight bout. The assertion that Freddy Roach makes about Fury’s corner team in this fight will certainly catch you off guard.

“I was a little bit disappointed in the corner work,” Mentioned Roach. “Why are you telling this guy to step back? Let this guy fight!” Sounding a bit frustrated Roach states that Fury’s Trainer Ben Davis was instructing Fury to “stay safe.” Roach also believes, “Fury could’ve knocked wilder down a couple times!” A meeting will happen after Christmas, were the Fury will bring his camp together to discuss training for the rematch. It’s at this point where Roach plans to communicate that Fury needs to be allowed to take Wilder out by being “more offensive” in the next fight.

Leahy’s interview of Freddy Roach can be seen on Fair Game this afternoon December 11, 2018, at 2:30 pst., which is hosted by FOX SPORTS Christine Leahy. The rematch is bound to be another blockbuster, the addition of Freddy Roach’s comments will certainly add to match. I’d am eager to know how you feel about a rematch? Do you agree with Freddy Roach, did Fury’s corner play it too safe in their initial fight? Please let me know your thoughts on this fight and does this make the rematch any more intriguing?
